We have passed the 23-3 record of the 95-96 Bulls now that we are 24-2.

The Knicks seem to be our only challenge to 27-2, the best 2-lost record in NBA history. Chicago and Philly should be easy, especially with Brand out.

Nice timing for 3 home games against mediocre teams.

You never know with the Bulls. They've played some decent ball lately. The Knicks are too small inside to deal with KG and Perkules.

Haha Perkules I like it.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
It's too soon to count any of those three remaining games as victories.  The Sixers played us tough for stretches last year without Brand; with him injured, perhaps they'll play with more intensity.  The Knicks could potentially get hot from the outside; they have a lot of streaky shooters with range.  The Bulls have talent, as well.

I expect the Celts to go 3-0; they should be favored by a fairly large margin in each game.  However, sometimes great teams drop games to mediocre or worse squads (such as that great Bulls squad losing a game to the expansion Raptors, who finished with 21 wins.)

Regarding the streak, a certain page on NBA.com should be updated now :)

http://www.nba.com/news/winning_streaks.html

For my own sake' i could take a loss against the Knicks/Philly or Chigaco if they play us well, the streak means nothing thats even evident by the lack of hype around it by the NBA as a whole (compared to last years hype around Houston/Portland)

As long as we play our hearts out everynight and are within contention for the game down the stretch, then i can live with whatever the outcome might be.

The Knicks seem to be our only challenge to 27-2, the best 2-lost record in NBA history.

From the recap notes on NBA.com:

"The best start in NBA history with two losses is 26-2, set by the 1966-67 Philadelphia 76ers and matched by the '69-70 Knicks. ... The longest winning streak in Celtics history is 18, set during the 1981-82 season."

The best part about this is,
we're winning games while not
playing our best ball. I like it.

Since we are talking about the Bulls' shouldnt they be alot better than they are? without rose people talked about them being a top team in the east prior to last seasons start now they fell apart during the season but with all the praise Rose has been getting, would it not be fair to say he should have made that team better now than they actualy are?

In my opinion, no. They had one lucky season, flopped last year and their team is terrible. The only player on that team capable of creating is Rose. Ben Gordon can shoot but is horribly undersized, can't dribble the ball and is a poor defender. Their system has Deng confused and completely ineffective. They have a glut of guards and some good hustle big-men in Noah and Aaron Gray but once again, no real scoring or offensive talent (though I'd like to see them develop Aaron's post up game a little bit). Then they have an ineffective midrange game in Tyrus Thomas and the ever-lovable Larry Hughes. So I think Rose has actually done a very good job with very little skill and a terrible roster (not saying all the players are bad, just that they aren't suited to the team).

Speaking of the Bulls, they are lucky to have Derek Rose. Otherwise, they might have a similar record to the Wizards right now.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
even if we drop one of the next 3 games, who cares? I just wanna see this team continue to beat tough teams at home and away, the streak, the record, even the 96 bulls...none of it matters.

Way too early to start thinking records......take it from a Cavs fan.  Injury to Boobie and Z equals loss to the Hawks.

I will gladly trade the best regular season record ever for a healthy polayoff squad.
