Didn't look good from the replay.....

I think he may have torn a ligament.

We could be without him for a substantial amount of time.

Lets hope I'm wrong  :-[

Im not going that far' he looked scared like last year but my mind is waving off a permanent injury most likely because my mind wont allow my captain to be hurt.. super heroes cant get hurt right? ... right?

But id really love if someone local to Boston could pass on any information that went out during the post game show/interviews

Didn't look good to me either. Hopefully it's minor.

Tommy didn't think it looked serious and Tommy is never wrong.  God I hope he is right about this one.

Paul is known to exaggerate injuries to his knee. :-\
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Post game interview had pierce saying it was feeling a little tender, but that he probably wouldn't even get it tested. He said this personally at the press conference so the announcers are saying he is probably fine (thinking that if it were serious he would be at the hospital by now)

Good News I think!  Paul went to the press conference and said he wasn't going to get Xrays and he didn't hyper extend it!

Was he helped onto the podium at the post game interview?

More critically, was his jaw bandaged?   ;)

So glad we're past that part of Paul's career.  As many have expressed already, here's hoping for the best for our captain.  Couldn't tell if the knee buckled when Memo backed into him, but it certainly seemed like the type of play where that could have been the case.  Long as he says he's all right, that's a good start...

Paul is known to exaggerate injuries to his knee. :-\

Exaggerate? Please.

The injury last time was far worse than the whole organization played it off to be.  But, due to "modern medicine" (i.e. targeted steroids and heavy protective gear) they were able to minimize the effects.

The fact that he didn't have any surgery astounded me at the time.  I wouldn't be at all surprised if he suffered structural damage, and this injury puts it over the top.

I was not sitting too far away, and this did not look good folks.

Edit: BTW, I suffered a similar injury playing ball (hyperextended left knee).  I never had surgery, re-aggravated it several times, and haven't had the same hop on it since (in fact my left became way better because I can't jump/push off my left leg to finish right).  Not saying it's the same thing, nor do I know how Pierce is going to be affected, but PP is definitely going to be crafty as time goes forward.  Good thing he already is to begin with.
God bless and good night!

No worries, Paul doesn't have ligaments or tendons, he just has a whole bunch of these, and they never break.
