OK.

I want Caron Butler here with the Celtics in the future. I've watched Washington Generals 6 or 7 times this year, he is literally a one man show. As bad as that team is they been in every game cause of Butler.

Before we can get him, Wizards will experiment with their 3 All-stars once Gil returns, and it won't work. When i think of Gilbert Arenas I think of Allen Iverson BOTH are CANCER to any team. Sooner then later Washington will realize their little experiment won't work as evident last years in the 1st round against the Cavs, Gil came back and everything just went down hill.

And similar to Detroit/Phoenix they'll break the team-up. And that can be our opportunity to steal him for cheap. I'm probably showing too much love for BUTLER, it's just i can see him and Rondo running the C show for 5-6 years.

If you don't believe me watch him carefully tonight.

P.S. left out who to trade PP(out) Butler(in)

And who do we trade for Butler?

What on earth is going on on this website today? Has anything even remotely made sense?

Its a discussion board RIGHT? I'd give PP for Butler. We've talked about trading Ray a lot, now lets talk about PP.

Call me crazy.

I knew it, I'm showing too much love for Caron. I'd give PP for Butler?

Call me crazy.

You may be crazy, but I'm sure as heck being driven crazy. Has a random group of people signed up to CelticsBlog and decided to infuriate the Celtics fans?

If we traded Pierce for Butler I would punch someone in the face.

Caron Butler is not as sturdy as Paul Pierce.  AND we know what PP can do when it matters.  What has Butler done when it matters?  Nothing! Oh, except get beat down by an inferior Cavs team in the playoffs. :-\

Caron Butler is hugely underrated, and it wasn't because of him that they lost to the Cavs in the playoffs.  I'd remind you that we almost lost to that same 'inferior' Cavs team.

I wouldn't trade Paul Pierce for him, though.  Caron Butler is a solid All-Star and probably a good building block for a team looking to the future.  Paul Pierce is one of the top ten players in the NBA, and we want to win right now.

Its not, if the trade involves LeBron James. But Paul Pierce for Caron Butler? Seriously? For real?

I also said that I wouldn't trade Paul Pierce for Caron.  I agree with you on that point.  Caron isn't the player that PP is, but I thought it was unfair to say that he got beaten by an inferior team.

Butler has been great this year (he's on my fantasy team) but Pierce is better.

I would much rather have Pierce than Butler. That trade would make no sense. Pierce is a lot better player than Caron. If Pierce was on the Wizards they wouldn't be the worst team in the league. They'll be right there in the playoff race. Butler is good and all but he's not a Hall Of Fame player that Pierce is. Caron at this stage of his career is a bit better than Ray Allen. Let's put it this way. If we trade Pierce for Butler we will no longer be the best team in the league and it decreases are chances of winning a championship. That's how valuable Pierce is to this team. At least discuss Butler for Ray Allen. That would make a little bit more sense than this. It would make for a better discussion.
