good to hear doc on this last night

Question: what do you think the response for james posey will be tommrow night?

Doc: I hope the fans really give him a long ovation, I think they will, our fans understand what he brought to us last year, and that this is a move based on buisness. Then i Hope he misses every shot (laugh) But i hope for that brief moment, he gets the recognition he deserves.

Don't let me down garden crowd, I don't thik they will.

Posey's definitely getting a standing ovation tonight.  No doubt.  The fans here are way too knowledgable and realize his importance to last year's team and his contributions to a championship.

If Dave Roberts gets a standing O in Boston, Posey sure as hell will.  Everyone loves Posey.

I agree.  I just hope his ovation doesn't eventually get drowned out by the "SCAL-A-BRIN-E" chants.  ::)

Lets see how he does guarding Pierce then we'll know if his contract is going to be worth it.  ;)
But I would certainly stand and give him a good cheer if going to the game.  A good player for us and big help in bringing us the banner.

i really don't mind the scal chants. it's just red sox die hards enjoying a night out. they don't know hoops at all. the same people will probably be booing posey and going crazy when whatever red sox or pats player holds the ball for lucky.

They know hoops. People cheer for Scal because its amusing not because they think he is great. <g>
