He can be good in fantasy, if you play if a league with playoffs. In leagues with playoffs, it is good to get the discounted guys with health issues who will be playing at the end of the season.
I tend to pick up all the all-star level guys who got dropped with 2+ month injuries about 2 weeks before they get back. I can afford the hit for 2 weeks, but then I dominate the playoffs. This all assumes you can assemble a team good enough to be in the top half of the league, which usually isn't too hard unless you are playing with a bunch of guys who really know a lot and pay a lot of attention nightly to what is going on.
