Who's your favorite NBA team (non-Celtics)?

The Clippers. Just like rooting for Charlie Brown to kick that field goal, Donald Sterling (Lucy) always manages to pull it out from under.

By no means do they play decent ball, mostly a function of living out here and NEVER rooting for the Lake show

When I first got into basketball as a little kid I had some infatuation with North Carolina, so I liked UNC tarheels and the Charlotte Hornets.  Then when they traded Alonzo Mourning to the Heat I was a Heat fan.  So if I had to route for a team other than the Celtics it would be the Heat.

But ever since moving to the Boston area where I finally live near a professional team of any kind, I'm sticking with the Celts as #1.

The Hawks because my favorite player is Joe Johnson so I gotta root for his team. I hate Al Horford though so its hard sometimes.

I'd pick the Warriors. Nelson's style may not be conducive to winning championships, but it's pretty entertaining. I also enjoy watching Stephen Jax and Biedrins, and I made about 900 posts a few years ago singing the praises of Brandan Wright.

I like pretty much every team in the league. The Utah Jazz stand out though, they play some beautiful stuff. I've always liked the Spurs too.

i dont have any team that i would consider a "favorite", but i enjoy watching a few teams:

i like the hornets because of chris paul... maybe utah at times. i like watching brandon roy and wishing what could of been if we kept him instead of trading for telfair... and tony parker is always fun to watch. as you can tell, i'm point guard giddy. i use to like to watch the suns, but not anymore with shaq. it use to be so pretty seeing them catch fire and nail shot after shot and fast break off a made shot.

Someones favorite player is Joe johnson? what since he was drafted a celtic or what? i cant comprehend this, I like him, but at the same time hate him.(why would you like him more than PP, Ray, KG?)

are probably the  teams I enjoy watching most besides the celtics

TWolves - The lovable loser former Celtics. Ryan Gomes was my favorite while he was here. Of course, Big Al's there too, and I always love to see undersized bigs from Boston College hanging around in the league and playing well (Craig Smith).

Bobcats - I've always liked Okafor, regardless if he's lived up to expectations, and I'm pulling for another BC guy, Jared Dudley, as well.

Pacers - I don't actually like the them, but how can I not root for #33?

Team I wish ESPN would stop televising: Nuggets - Maybe they're a bit more tolerable now that Chauncey has replaced AI. But I still find them cocky, yet somehow boring at the same time. And as long as JR Smith is still a member of that team, I won't like them. Oh, and I hate George Karl, too.

i like 4 other teams, but none in the east. In order:
Portland- Love Roy and Oden, and a fun team to watch. Also, like Outlaw. This is my team in NBA 2k9.
Minnesota- For obvious reasons. Big Al and Gomes. Hate Telfair still.
New Orleans- Love Chris Paul and obviously James Posey has a spot in my heart.
Utah- Love Deron Williams, and Boozer is a beast. I think id take Deron Williams over Chris Paul if they were both healthy. Both great passers, Paul may be better, but i think williams is a better offensive threat.

All the players I love are respectful and not thugs and the players on their team arent disrespectful either.

Teams I hate:
Lakers- Any true Celtics fan hates the lakers, no reason needed.
Pistons- I do love Hamilton, but Pistons in general I hate
Knicks- Thugs except for Malik Rose.
Rockets- I hate any team Rom Artest is one, and T-Mac is overrated.
Atlanta- Bunch of losers and thugs on that team. young and exciting, but Bibby and Horford are punks, Zaza is a _____, and screw everyone else. Childress was cool, but now hes in Greece making bank.

I don't root for them, but I enjoy a lot to watch Utah play, amazingly good offense, great screening - those passes from Williams to Boozer when the ball is in the air even before Boozer rolls off the screen are superb (not exactly the passes, the plays, the merit goes almost entirely to Boozers excellent fundamentals). I also like the Spurs and the Pistons, they generally play good ball on both sides of the floor. My favourite team to watch right now is out of the NBA though, CSKA Moscow. I also like to watch UCLA and Texas Tech. teams in the college game when I have a chance.

I have a soft spot for Portland, New Orleans and Miami. I don't go out there and pray they win, but I'd like to see them do well although obviously not at our expense. I used to like Phoenix; well, I still do, and I'm sorry they never won a championship with Nash. If it wasn't for a punk Horry clothesline they would have, I'm certain of it. Oh and my genuine second favorite is whoever the Lakers are playing.

My feelings are similar,its hard to have a favorite second team when you are a loyal fan of one.I agree with your idea,enjoy watching the Trailblazers right now,the Hornets because i feel they were right at that point to win the west last season,the Suns because of their style at one point,the Bulls because of their rookie Rose is exciting,and Nets because i like watching D.Harris.Its more about being entertaining to watch than favorite in my book.
