Referring to something for the Red Head from Newton in the broadcasts has been one of Tommy's favorites for such a long time.  That's just gonna suck for him now when he wants to say that and he thinks of her.  Uggghh.
Yup

Very sad news.  I really feel for Tommy.  It was obvious how deeply he loved 'the Redhead from Needham'.

I sure hope Tommy gets through this okay.

The thoughts, prayers, and condolences of my family go out to our great friend and fellow Celtic super-fan Tommy Heinsohn during this sad, sad day for him and his family. The Redhead from Heaven will be shining down upon you Tommy.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the number of moments that take your breath away.

My condolences to Tommy for what must be an extremely trying time. I just re-read this article from a few years ago that talks about the man, and the incredible relationship he had with "the redhead from Needham". I envy what he had and hope he finds the strength from within to get through his sadness. My prayers are with you, Tommy.

Sincerest best wishes to a great Celtic on the loss of his beloved wife.

May he find peace in the Lord and in the memories of a great life shared.

Sad...I knew her, though I never laid eyes on the Lady...She was everywhere present through Tommy's heartfelt allusions to her unique take on Celtics-style basketball (and life for that matter)...I feel badly for Tommy, but hope he can at least take some solace in the fact that she will forever be celebrated in Celtics lore as the "Redhead from Needham" who never once made a bad call...

My prayers and condolences, Mr. Heinsohn.
