Jordan's bulls. The weaker ones anyway.  We actually have plenty of room for Rondo's potential Offensive game. When he's are leading scorer, or just being extremely aggressive driving to the hoop. We are totally unstoppable.

But he must continue to score at a fairly high rate 15 to 18 is perfect, to keep the defense honest. tonight's game is a perfect example 18 and eight assists, if he could be consistent with that Wow.

You know what we are going to get with are three thirty something,  All Star. Hall of famer's. And Perkins is as solid as solid comes.

And as great as are defense is. it's are offense that is are real weak point. But rondo is the problem, and the solution. When he plays like he did tonight We are the best.

Maybe that's my nickname for him if he becomes the player we all know he can be..     "The Solution"

I agree, when Rondo is aggressive and knows when to take his shots we're unstoppable. Rondo definitely needs to step up more with his jumpshot this year, maybe start taking some 3's. If he develops a killer instinct with it he'd be a surefire HOF'er on par w/ CP.. as he is right now though he's just a better-than-average PG.

Keep practicing those J's Rondo..

detroit doesn't have a real point guard...it was nice to see rondo take advantage of their confusion.

he needs to play like this...his ability to penetrate the defense makes life easier on the rest of the team...it's not always the first pass from him, but it's the SECOND pass that often leads to a guy standing wide open for a good look.

i didn't really catch the game. But i did see during a couple screen occasions rondo was shooting the ball. He missed that one shot but it was good to see him shooting

How many jumpers did he attempt??

He was amazing tonight

Better than Jordan's Bulls?

Lets go back-to-back and we can begin talking about that. We're not as good as MJ's Bulls it's that simple.

Rondo did play great but the main reason we won because we had a lot less turnovers. If we had been taking care of the ball better earlier on we would have been blowing teams out like last year!

As far as being better than the bulls, I think this team could have beat the bulls, but as the previous poster noted we need to what until we repeat before we make any comparisons.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
So if we're better than the Bulls that means we're better than the previous Big 3's team right? Are you sure that's a statement your ready to make? I personally can't comment because this is the best Celtics team I've ever seen.

Rondo played great, I love it when he attacks, but you guys must have seen that Iverson didn't even try to stop his penetration.

i think the OP got a little carried away...it's easy to forget how great some of those historical teams were.

sorry, but pierce couldn't hold jordan's jock...pippen was an amazing second-fiddle player, and rodman could rebound and play defense like nothing ever seen for some time.

but when i read on these forums how some were trying to make nowitzki out to be better than bird, or even asking if bird would be an all-star today i can presume those posters had never even seen bird play (or only saw the older / broken down version of him)... :-\

Cedric Maxwell even said he'd take Dirk over Bird- which I found disturbing and crazy.

so?

This was the knock on rondo all last year when he played well sometimes too "Oh, he did great, but it was because the other guy wasen't trying."

you have to smoke the bad defensive players too.

no one goes "of course Youk hit 2 dingers today, the other pitcher sucked, not impressive."

Rondo did his job.  But I was amazed at AI's fake defense- falling down, acting like he was stuck on picks, reaching for impossible steals...

A big reason that we turned it over less, though, was that the ball was in Rondo's hands A LOT. I didn't see much of Paul and Ray pounding the ball and making bad decisions.

With regards to the Jordan Bulls? I think that it would a great matchup, but that team was awesome.
