I am really starting to think Scal just doesn't try in the preseason and garbage minutes.  He has looked terrible in those stretches, but over the last two years, has looked very solid whenever he has gotten regular rotation minutes.  I have a feeling we are going to see Scalabrine getting much more regular minutes going forward.

No one can replace Posey, but Scal is closest in size and in what he can do well--play tough D, stay within the system and hit the killer 3.  If he can do what he did tonight on a consistent basis, we will miss Pose alot less. Doc needs to experiment with his rotation some more.

He's probably our most solid option at the backup 3, at least defensively.  If he keeps hitting open shots, he can be the Celtics version of Bruce Bowen.

give scal some love?  www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGBWqzwpktM&feature=related

TP, that was awesome.

In all seriousness -- I need to get a Scal t-shirt.  Anyone point me to an online source? (I live in the Bay Area so I can't go in person to a place in Boston).  TP for a source.
Celtics fan for life.

everytime someone posts that video its a major TP getter. i remember listening to patrick and gilroy after the game and this is basically what he said:

My favorite part was that the defender ACTUALLY bought the up fake!!

come on, roy...you can't honestly believe this, can you?  i picture you typing this and hitting the "post" button with a smirk on your face.

i never knew the celtics could find a player worse than fred roberts...well, here he is.  the guy is awful, and should never be on the floor ahead of leon powe.  i realize doc is a fan of keeping his rotations the same, but powe deserved to start.  scalabrine is a joke...whether he makes $3 million or just $3 dollars he doesn't deserve to be on the floor.

Haha.  Probably the current Bowen, but Scal is a very good defender.  I've seen him basically neutralize, at various times, Rashard Lewis, Al Jefferson, and Kevin Garnett (prior to the trade, of course).

I love how it is always one way or the other with Scal.  I definitely think Roy overstated his case (perhaps purposely), and now you have to pull it the other way completely.

Scal definitely brings something to the table.  He is a quality NBA defender.  Those guys are not that easy to come by.  When he is able to give the team even the slightest bit of offense, than he absolutely deserves to be on the floor.

He's a better defensive 4 than 3. Add Dirk to the list. And some other non-20ppg guys, of course.

Also, Doc will try other things first, but I think he may be forced to (...) give Scal much more minutes than most of you would like.

I told you so.

I can't help but laugh watching Scal on the post game interview.

Scal: I live for those moments...

The one man wrecking crew comes to town. It's like watching "Fletch" live. Thank God he didn't kill us and even made a pretty big shot at the end.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

He was great tonight i can even admit it. He didn't take shots he didn't feel comfortable with and played superb defense.

ITs strange how he gets absolutely no time on the court and when kg is gone for one game gets to start.

Scal tonight looked like a poor mans posey easily
