The NBA has confirmed that it is reviewing Saturday night's tangle involving Boston's Kevin Garnett and Milwaukee's Andrew Bogut for possible additional penalties.

The league office will look further Monday at the fourth-quarter incident, according to NBA spokesperson Maureen Coyle, with any fines or suspensions to be announced before both teams play again Tuesday.

IMO, the technical fouls shouldn't have been called at all. Now they're talking about suspensions? It wasn't a punching foul, things calmed down pretty quickly, there was nothing except some arms thrown around...

This is the biggest reason why the NBA product is becoming increasingly unappealing to me, especially when compared to the European game where much more contact is allowed, especially in the paint. If I didn't want to see any kind of contact, I'd watch voley-ball.

TP, the fact that the college game is now more physical than the NBA game is ludicrous.

It's a contact sport, you have to expect minor flare ups. I'm with you, this shouldn't have even had the tech's called, never mind suspensions.

My counterpart coaching girls hoops has more violent fights in his practices.

Stern must be bored.

Don't be so sure.  I was worried about the NBA "taking a closer look at this" the moment it happened. Both guys took mini-swipes at each other which is a brawl in modern sissy NBA lingo.

god the nba has truly turned into a pansy league!  the decision was made by the officials, after using to the video review. that should be enough.

KG had his hands up in the air before anything escalated.  He didn't deserve his tech if anything they should scratch it from the books.

he started it, he slapped down and across the guys face. he got smacked back.

It shouldn't be a tech for either of them, nor an issue, but KG wasen't some angel in the play in question.

IMO it's about control.  Stern wants to control the players, how they dress, what they say and now he wants to control their emotions, as if that was possible... but Stern is going to try!

the simple fact is there is more $$$$ in having a good PR rep so that you can sell the game to ad agencys, even if it's to the determent of your game and sport.

Purity and passion is nothing with david. $ talks, and stern will deal with the criticism's of the game from true fans, they'll watch anyway. he wants the sqeaky clean PR image of players and on the court play so that the ad dollars keep rolling in.
