This is just to bring some positive energy back after my earlier villains poll. I have to go with Big Al personally.

Grant Hill.

He was the man at the High School when I was in the Middle School next door.

I chose Grant Hill, (the only Detroit jersey I ever had.), Al, and Delonte. Al and Delonte were both two of my favorites on the more recent C's team. I would have picked Gomes fourth and Yao fifth only because they seem to be such nice guys.

I too went with Hill.  Met him a few times in college (really nice guy) and have always enjoyed his game - minus the injuries of course.  Plus, who can forget the ESPN commercial of him playing the lobby piano.

Too bad Little Penny wasn't a choice!!
I love my kids - Call me a sap, but it's true.

Other than Big Al....

Brandon Roy and I guess maybe Kevin Durant, but only because we went to the same high school.

  • The good ole days.
I went with Chris Paul.  Would've gone Big Al but I still consider the Wolves my team as well, so that wasn't fair.  Grant Hill is always classy and I think was going to take over MJ's reigns until his injuries, but I went with youth.  Chris Paul is just incredible to watch and I find myself hoping he puts up an even better year and walk all over Kobe for the MVP this season.

I totally agree with you. That guy is all class on and off the court. Talk about charismatic, he's the human definition of it.
Anything is possible!!!

Tracy McGrady.

As much as he p---es me off, I can't bring my self to root against him (when he's not playing the Celtics).

I still think he's the most talented player in the NBA.

  • My alter ego
As I'm sure many could have predicted from reading the loving Babbles for him, it's undoubtedly Posey for me.

Much as I hated seeing him go, it's hard to blame the guy.  He earned his chance to really cash in with his first really big-time long-term deal, and for all the joy he played a role in bringing us last season, he'll always have a place in my heart.  I love his attitude and his game, and except for the nights when he plays against the green, I'll be wishing him only the best.  I'm glad to see that Hornets fans really seem thrilled with him so far.

Outside guys who have played for the Celts, I'm a devout Duncan believer.  Classy guy, consummate professional, one of the greatest players of all time (possibly the best ever at his position), a winner of high order.  Nothing but respect for him.
