T-Mac was PROVOKED too? There's no doubt that T-Mac got a shot, but he got a shot because Bill had him beat and T-Mac tried to grab him. So who PROVOKED who? By the way, all Bill did was remove T-Mac's hands from him and ran into him... T-Mac clearly tried to flop to get a foul call and then he lowered his shoulders to hit Bill Walker. Bill had him beat, going forceful towards the basket, T-Mac grabed him a bit to get himself into position... in the way of a train going at full force, of course you're going to get a shot.
I just want to rehash what was already said:
Pay attention:
1)Bill Walker at the top of the paint made a sharp cut and beat T-Mac
2)T-Mac knowing he was beat grabbed B.Walker's arm
3)B.Walker embarrased T-Mac by 'taking back his arm' and you see T-Mac go flying into the middle of the paint
4)Because T-Mac got punked (and deservingly so for taking B.Walker's arm after B.Walker beat him on his cut), and to make up for this punkage, T-Mac drops a nasty shoulder into the lane B.Walker is threading,squeezing/pushing him into whoever it was that was setting a pick.
I'm far from annointing B.Walker anything but a second round pick with the potential to have been a first rounder who has to work on his offense and his defense; with that said if you have played hoops and follow movement away from the ball, B.Walker has, be it intentional or natural, a nice and smooth movement away from the ball. Further, he gets the ball and goes straight to the hoop, 'does not pass go and does not collect 200', the kid cuts hard, sharp, and quick, and that is something that is like a good base stealer in baseball, it's not that you can't be taught to become better at it, but you have to have certain athletic ability and instincts to do it better than everyone else, and B.Walker has this naturally. Finally, the kid has a great floating leap and a good body mass/momentum similar to how Lebron can just barrell in using his build to his advantage. Though it seems if B.Walker does't dunk it he might get a bit lost while he's hanging in anti-gravity up there, I am certain that everyone on the team, especially the vets, know that this kid needs to understand how to get up there and THEN FINISH. Once he practices this for a few seasons via his elder teachers, he will be unstopable when he drives and elevates. Of course, it's not a total lock this will all come to be realized, but the kid has natural raw skills, a fierce attitude, and appears to have that 'they didn't draft me in the first round' chip on his shoulder that could help him become a starter in the NBA. I've watched some of his college games on youtube, he has at the college level demonstrated that he can do a floating midrange jumper, give him some years, if he perfects that he'll truly be unstoppable. M.Jordan's midrange and then 3 pointer came with time. That's what kept him so good even when his ups were fading a bit. He had become IMAO the ultimate well-rounded player. We will see in time if B.Walker can round out his athletic and instinctive potential.
