I don't know. I agree that his shot isn't consistent enough now, but neither was Gary Payton's in his first couple years. In fact, Rondo's numbers compare pretty evenly with Payton's. And if you can't build around a PG with all-star talent and drive, who can you build around.

Although we may have differing definitions for the term "build around", I think in this case Rondo is a player you "build around" because you already have him and then you bring in other pieces (even better players) to make the team better. I'm guessing by build around you mean a franchise player, in which case you're right.

I figured that I would bring this thread back, considering the fact we're having a discussion on if it was worth trading for KG (IE Is the Big Three Era a Failure) which I don't believe it was. If you read the first page a lot of the roster from 2007 and other hypothetical situations are on page one.

The question now is, how can the Boston Celtics in 2012 build around Rondo with young talent?

Also it's always a good thing to see how fans rate their teams talent and well in our case overrate the youth and potential piece of things.
