I dont know if this has already been mentioned but....
but do you all think we could see something with what Dallas did with Avery Johnson?? Didnt Dallas at one point decide that they wanted Avery to eventually replace Don Nelson, so they just decided to make him assistant or some kind of coach so he could kind of learn on the job, and also by doing that they opened up a roster spot, I dont know if thats exactly what they did, but it was something close to that.
Is it possible the team just takes Sam on as some kind of assistant? It's already been mentioned, him being a coach after this season. It would open up a roster spot.
Might be a stupid question but, is it against the rules that if an injury occurs or if someone gets waived an assistant can come out of retirement and join the roster???
