See what I mean?

If you think about it...this is what we should've really expected from Josh Beckett for this start if you look at his numbers for the regular season.  He's right at his ERA.

It's up to the offense now.  Pedroia, Ortiz, Lowell...even Youkilis...they need to start hitting.

Time for the offense to get it together, huh?  Ugh.

I think you're misunderstanding ERA.  Beckett gave up 4.03 runs per nine innings this season.  Tonight, he gave up 4 in five innings.  That's significantly worse than his ERA.

Regardless, he's off the hook.  Tie game.

My patience is growing incredibly thin with this game.

This game is soooooo long.  I'm getting sick of watching this game.

Ditto.  ??? They listed that little flyball blooper by Ellsbury that scored 3 runs a hit, not an error. Anyways, that's why we're still watching the game. Literally, I laughed out loud when they had that miscommunication in that inning. I thought the game was in the bag.

Pedroia's not doing that well, apparently; I thought he had a hit already in this series.

I say it ends in any inning but the 13th.

Ellsbury got hosed by the ump on his AB. That last one was clearly off the plate.

To the 12th.......

A hit? O.

Well, here we go, 12:25 in the morning and we're heading to the 12th. All I can say is wow. Somebodies offense is passed due, and will explode shortly, I just hope it's ours.

If they don't come back tonight, I'm going to be beyond mad.

I hate games like this.  Games that last 4 and a half, five hours, go into extra innings......and you lose.

Luckily, we do have the right people coming up.  But all three of them have had crappy nights.

If we go on to lose this game, obviously the story of the game seems to be that Josh Beckett is nowhere near the caliber of pitcher he was last year.

Yea I know. I can hear ESPN now. "Has Beckett lossed his touch? We debate, 1st and 10."

Yea it would be a little ridiculous for us to play all of these extra innings and put up such a fight, just to loose.

So that seals it, I officially wasted my night tonight.  I had so many other things I could've done tonight.

Gah! This makes me so mad!

Lester tomorrow right?

I completely agree. I wasted my entire night also, glued to the television, just to see this. And to be honest (and feel free to call me crazy on this), I'm even more worried about tomorrow's game than I was about tonight's. I mean, if it weren't for that Kendrick miscommunication, this game would have probably finished 4-1 two hours ago. Besides Papelbon, I didn't see too much to look forward to. Our best hitters had bad games tonight.

I hope Lester starts tomorrow.
