J.D. comes through in the clutch.  Incredible stuff.

(I love how the announcers justify Rodriguez's meltdown, by the way.)

I just said that to MGG, the Sox had a BUNCH of chances all game but Chip blames the Angels offense and not K-Rod for giving it up, god hes overrated.

No.  I heard an interview with him a couple of weeks ago and he said he would not be there.  He didn't feel it was his place,

I guess the rust is of JD!

Awesome game.

The Sox are a [dang] confident group.  Gotta love it.

Night night

Just got back from the game!  Awesome!  Best game I've ever been to.  Not sure if it sounded that way on TV, but that place was electric.  With Dice-K being his usual self, the Angels threatened in just about every inning and the fans, induced by the rally monkey cheers and the give-away noise makers, were going nuts.  What a win!

Wow that home run was eerily similar to the grand slam last year.  Off the bat it looked good, not great, and the center fielder kept going back and back and back.  Even when he turned his back I thought it was going off the wall for a double, and it carried out.  Majestic stuff.

On another note, Jason Bay has officially become my second favorite athlete in Boston.  He will never overtake Rajon for numero uno, but becoming number two is still pretty impressive for my book.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

I wasn't listening, what "excuses" were they giving?

I was half a sleep, but I don't remember them making excuses for K-Rod, but I'll make one for him:  He's the most overrated closer EVER.  He just completed the most overrated season by a closer EVER.  He's had some huge gaffs.

How good is Youk?  Moving back to 3rd and making two sweet plays in the 9th.

It's looking more and more like a Sox/Tampa series, and that should be a whole lot of nailbiting action.
Yup

Watched every single pitch ----- and I'm going on Sunday.

Amazing, I really thought it was slipping away from them, but they pulled it off.

Did anyone watch the NESN stuff afterwards?  What was up with Remy's face?  Too much golf?

This morning I feel like that song by the Cranberries...Zombie
