Our beautiful cat Carla is in the animal hospital with kidney problems. Please pray for her. Thank you.
Will do, Bud ... I have an 18 pound neutered Tom cat named Cosby who's my best friend ... can't imagine anything happening to him. He was around 2 years old, (estimated my Vet), when he showed up on my back porch late one cold autumn night, and he was starving to death. I had seen him around a few times, but no one could coax him to come near. The cold and hunger finally drove his fear away, and since that night about 5 years ago, he's been my constant companion. I live on a very quiet dead-end street, my folks live on one side of me, and another elderly couple on the opposite side.
He visits almost all the houses on the street and is well-known and liked by all, (and I think they all give him treats, though they deny it to me, lol). He's very independent and not very affectionate, but at the same time he follows me around like a puppy, and loves to be near people, (he won't eat unless someone is watching him or nearby). I worry about him at this time of year because he's all black, and superstition gets the best of some people. Anyway, since my kids moved out on their own, he's been my only company at times, but soon we'll be joined by my soon-to-be wife and her two cats ... should be interesting!
I'm really sorry to hear this about Carla, and I will add her to my prayer list, as well as ask my family to do the same. I've almost lost Cosby a couple of times from eating poisoned mice, (people around here refuse to stop using rat poison), though I've tried to campaign my neighborhood for other ways of desposing of rodents. It will be a sad day indeed when he goes ... he's a pain in the butt at times, but the good outweighs the bad ... and he saved my life, (literally). God bless your Carla, my friend ... I have faith all will be well soon.
