Grey Goose vodka was designed around the idea of creating a vodka that cost more than double the higher-end vodkas of its time. Along with a carefully designed "backstory" of how and where the vodka was produced, the high price was intended to create an image of higher quality. The name, price, and backstory were all created before a distillery was found to produce it. 8 years later, it was sold to Bacardi for $2 billion.
The guy who invented Grey Goose is also the creator of Crunk!!! Energy Juice, in a joint venture with Lil' Jon.
Absolutely interesting
