... and all other Pete Carrolisms about the new season and I'm not the least bit embarrassed to express my giddiness. I've always been a C's fan, but last year was a little different, it was the first time the team was so NEW and while I ended up loving the team, it was a little strange to have so many new faces. I'm excited because for this season I feel like I know this team and now have fond memories of the group. It'll be fun to watch the new guys try and earn minutes and I'm intrigued with Paul Pierce in ways I never have been before. I think more than any other NBA player, he's raised his level of play and where he ranks among the top players (high) - I want to see how Garnett plays as a champion - my gut tells me his hunger is just a part of his DNA and he won't play "satisfied" - can Ray Allen be the player he was in the Finals? Is he the player from the Atlanta and Cleveland series?
But the best part about looking forward to this year? I know they will be good. I know they will compete and every game is winnable - how long has it been since we entered a season KNOWING that? Even last year there were some questions, we suspected the team would thrive, but did we know? There is a joy in knowing your team is good and it is about time we got that BACK!!!
