Celebrity Sports Showdown with Paul Pierce Video Game

I got an email today from EA Sports advertsing the upcoming release of NBA Live 09 and along with it they had an advertisment for this other game which seems kind of wacky. The combination of "celebrities" is kind of comical and the fact that one of then is Paul is even better. Check out this screenshot I got from the site and if you intersted at all checkout the game. I doubt I'll buy it but I just thought it was funny.

This is a video game? In what format? Like, Super Smash Brothers-esque? Because, man, that would be sweet. How awesome would it be if you substituted Paul in for Captain Falcon and went around KO'ing Avril and Fergie with Paul's special move? I think it would be epic if the Walter Brown Trophy = Ness' bat....

ANYONE know what I'm talking about here? Or did I just waste 5 minutes

looks like a party game for the wii - similar to wii sports, beach sports, wii play, etc. - some of the games could be fun - dodgeball, curling, tubing - haven't seen those on the wii before

the big thing with the wii is if the controls are good and the game is fun to play with others it will be highly playable and fun - we just got beach sports, it has 6 games, and once you get used to the controls its actually very fun

conversely we got the Price is Right - it hardly uses the wii remote except for spinning the big wheel - its pretty lame (though I pretended to like it b/c the gf bought it for us)

I'm with ya, PerkinsERA...he could throw basketballs as a projectile and use the leather jacket that saved his life for a shield.

The description from cdif's link makes it look like it's worth getting if it gets decent reviews. Especially if it uses Wii MotionPlus.

Wow, Roy, that list is random...I thought that was part of the list, but it's all they have up so far.

They should get David Ortiz and Brian Urlacher for the badminton game.
