Steve Bulpett and Marc Spears top the list.

Scott Souza is in the conversation as well.

Far too many grinding axes from the other names on that list, and don't get me started on Simmons.

CBlog's fair leader Mr. Clark deserves some mention as well. Nobody, and I mean nobody, is as consistent or dogged in writing about the Boston Celtics as this site's Commander-in-Chief.

Amen, Dukie. Amen.

Jackie McMullan--She writes the articles that really give you some insight into the players, such as last season's Ray Allen article. As to everyday writers I like Spears, Bulpett not always a favorite), and Souza.

#2 to 1000: Also Rans (sorry guys and girls)

I can't argue with the selection of FCF .

in second , I'd say it's a tie between Peter May and Jon Duke from
CSL . I find the similarities almost eerie .   ;D

Slightly off topic, At press conferences the Celtics players make a point to ackknowledege Bill Doyle of the T & G with a "Hey Bill!" after he introduces his question and affiliation. Is this a sarcastic greeting or do they genuinely like him?

They like him.  Bill is a good guy, but the joke here is that he starts every press conference with his question.  I don't really know why, but itt was that way all last year.  Even for the more informal and never televised pregame press conference with Doc...

You bring up a good point JS. The Duke is like a fine, understated whine best enjoyed while young. I need to revise my vote...

On the Celtic blogs them, I'd like to drop a mention to the guy who keeps Lex Nihil Novi. Great service to the younger generations of Celtics fans.

If Roy Hobbs is considered a writer on CB as well as moderator, then i have to give him high marks on how he explains things in ways we all can understand...especially during the regular season when the contract issues were being brought up a lot.He took the time to break it down into "layman"terms in order for all to understand.

It's true Edgar that all those folks deserve to be added to the list, but really, if we are talking about true influence here, should not Edgar's coffee be at the top of the list?

Revised list part three, tres, trois, Drei, tre, Drie, três:

#1: Edgar's coffee! (a clear winner)
#2: FLCeltsFan - Steve Weinman - Jeff Clark - JB - Jon - Justin - Roy, WL - Nick - Who - and all (eleven way tie)
#13 to 1000: Also Rans (sorry guys and girls)

Thanks, J.  Much appreciated.  I'm not sure that I qualify as much of a writer / author on here, with so many other great ones who contribute more consistently, but the compliment means a lot.

Revised list part four, cuatro, quatre, Vier, (yeah, I know it is a capitalized "four" but it's German and we just have to get over it. That's what they do with nouns), quattro, Vier (yes, the Dutch do it to. go figure.),quatro (thank God for the Portuguese who spell this word the way SHE intended):

#1: Edgar's coffee! (a clear winner)
#2: FLCeltsFan - Steve Weinman - Jeff Clark - JB - Jon - Justin - Roy - WL - Nick - Who - and all - Edgar's giant encyclopedic Spanish basketball brain (twelve way tie)

I stole the topic of this thread for my latest poll (in honor of Media Day).  I refined it a bit though.  I left out bloggers and writers no longer primarily on the Celtics beat (May, Springer, McMullin, Ryan)

let me know if I forgot anyone of note
