Please no more Sam, I can't take any more of him. I bet if D-Miles looks good we trade Scals and either Powe or BBD.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Amazing. We could make a free agent signing that actually makes us a WORSE squad. Here's to hoping somebody slipped Sam a "roofie" before that interview.

I am tempted to post my response to this multiple times for all Cassell-Haters to see..b/c I have been all up for bringing him back( I want Miles over Pruitt, but I'm not Ainge and can't make the decision) anyways...here goes...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA! In your face! Cassell Haters! HAHAHAHHA!!! To everyone that said his Green jersey wearing days were over, HAHAHAHAHA!. Here comes Sam I Am! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

I swear I posted multiple times about how bringing Cassell back would be great for our title run. He has experience with the system now, and is a proven PG. Ppl doubted him b/c he took wild shots(just as Doc told him to) I'm super psyched to hear good news of Sam. He deserves to be back, and I welcome him back with open arms. Whats even better is to hear that he wants to coach here too, rather than follow George Karl with the Nugglets. ...Wow. Sorry, but still in shock over what the Haters' faces look like after reading this thread....Hahahaha...ha...ha...haters.
Can't stop, Rondo!

Cassell had a bad 2nd half of the season with the Celtics... man I hope we don't sign him.

Cassell had a pretty impressive career as the PG that helped lead teams without being the #1 option... I hope we sign him.

What have you done for me lately only is important, but what have you done for your whole life matters too.  Happy he's still with the team.

I don't believe this. Didn't Ainge says he li9kes Pruitt for the backup PG spot? And didn't we sign House? I guess that would mean that Miles will be cut and Tony Allen, Walker and Giddens will have to backup Pierce.

Yeah. Insanity aside here, I'll believe this when I see it. Cassell clearly proved last year that he was done. Cassell said he was about to resign when the offseason started too.

I actually think this is the right move for the celtics to make another championship run... Cassel had a bad playoff but rather than that he did fine for us... So I honestly think this is the right thing for the Boston Celtics, not to mention but i think this means there is a trade coming!!

I'm actually happy they're going to re-sign Cassell. He came in in the middle of a season, now, with a pre-season under his belt he can adapt to Doc's offense and play more like a team player. Also happy about the coaching side of things, I've always thought he has the right mentality to be a good coach and I like his leadership skills.

I'm pretty sure there's a trade in the works. Not necessarily for players, maybe shipping the likes of Pruitt for a pick. Nonetheless, I'm sure Danny is going to pull something off.

Tp, I agree 100%. Cassell has earned the opportunity to learn the system with a training camp and pre-season under the belt...

I some theories on an additional roster move:

1) Since a trade has yet to happen there's a possibility that a player that has recently signed is involved. Tony Allen and Eddie House have a two month grace period if I'm not mistaken...

Once that grace period over:

- a combination of one of those two players (House/TA) with Scal for a 5 million dollar player that has a 3-4 year deal?

- House/TA/Scal for a 8 million dollar player that has a 3-4 year deal?

- Tony Allen to Oklahoma for 2nd round pick?

2) I'm not clear on this but maybe Pruitt sent down the NBDL for the season?

I for one would really like Miles to make this team, even if it's just for 10 games...

but what in his entire career leads you to blelive he'll suddenly play within a team dynamic?

He's always been a "volume shooter" who doesnt play defense and only passes when he's forced to.

the only diffreance between 2007 cassell and 1997 cassell is that the younger version was a good shooter.

If is this is true I wouldn't be surprised if this means the end before it even begins for Miles.  Let's face it he hasn't played in over 2 years and doctors as recently as this spring deemed his basketball career over.  The C's probably wanted to see what Miles could do for a month or so under their guidance and maybe came to the conclusion as well that he can't come back.  Maybe Tony Allen, Giddens, and Walker impressed them enough to let this Miles experiment go.

I don't see it being Pruitt.  Yes he was a second round pick but barely in a deep draft.   He migh have been a much higher pick this year.  He came out early and I just don't feel the C's are ready to give up and just cut him yet.
