What do you guys put the percentage chance of Reggie Miller coming in mid-season (or anytime) and filling Posey's role?

The conspirator in me wants this to be around 20%.  The logical person inside says this is 0%.

Why would he fill Posey's role? We don't have to have a Posey.

What do want Miller to add? Extra shooting I assume.

I don't see him trying a year later. I also don't see us wanting him a year later.

If he offered his services I'm pretty sure that DA would jump on it.

We would want him because our 2nd team is seriously lacking fire power.

If we think that Reggie was too old to come back last year, which many did, he is even more so this year. I love Reggie's game throughout the years, but he provides absolutely no defense whatsoever. If you bring him in there you are just thinking he can outscore the other side. If that is the criteria, I give those shots to House. He has been known to make a clutch shot himself. Reggie was a bad idea last year and a worse idea this year...

Aside from the pretty [dang]ing issues of his age and how he fits the C's, I'd also question whether he wants to come back at all.  Remember, the thing that held Reggie back from returning last year was Reggie.  I can't think of what would change his mind now.  If anything, I'd think the allure's faded.  Last year if he came on board and won, he (and others) at the very least could have rationalized that it was Reggie that put them over the edge.  If he comes back now, many would assume that he's just back for the free ride to the ring.

True. And if Boston didn't win it this year then he'd be looked at as a reason we failed.

Miller is the antithesis of Posey in every way.

Reggie stopped playing defense before Posey came into the league.  The Cs don't need much help offensively.  Which if Miller has anything left, is the only area he's capable of helping the team at all.

If you cant out score them, then make them foul out by flopping. Never play defense. 8)
