I ould imagine, since he's not in fact officaly the owner of a roster spot, that they will wait to see if he makes it out of camp. The lakers didn't hold a press conferance for paul shirly before they cut him 3 weeks into camp heh.

From the Celtic's perspective (at least how they are trying to downplay it and portray it) it's just a camp invite.  So I wouldn't expect a press conference.  It's on the same level of giving Kevin Pittsnoogle a contract.

am sure...everyone is just waiting for some excitement before training camp...

the wait is such a pain....coming from a championship...we really need something to maintain the surge somehow

The thing is, this is very different to the Posey/House signings last year. They were guaranteed roster spots. This is more like a Batista signing, where he gets the opportunity to play for the team if he performs adequately. Therefore I don't see a Darius Miles presser any time soon.

Well, Batista was signed two days before the team left for Rome, so a press conference wasn't even possible.

Pittsnogle, then.  Did he get a press introduction?  I can't remember.

I don't remember, but I am pretty sure they had a press conference for that wing that they signed last year (I can't remember his name...he was from NC).

No Wallace was a C fromthe Univ. of South Carolina, not North. Chris is referring to Jackie Manuel G/F out of UNC that got cut in camp.
