Another free agent gone. I really did'nt want him on the team. The list is getting lighter. Bonzi Wells is the only player I would take. Maybe P.j Brown will come back for one more year? I hope so!

Devean George doesn't really have an offensive game anymore

gotta say I'm very surprised the Mavs signed him after he almost blocked the JKidd deal... the NBA is a funny place

Didn't want him.  I'd take Bonzi still, maybe Ross, and Lorenzen Wright in a 08-09 PJ Brown type role.

If Ainge is still looking for a backup forward, I think George would be the best pick available. His shooting is streaky, but teams still need to cover him; he'd provide more spacing than anyone in our bench except House. His defense is still solid enough; he could guard the taller 3s that will give problems to Tony Allen and mobile PFs fairly well.

Personally, I don't see much use to Bonzi. If we sign him, why did we keep Tony Allen? They're basically the same player - Bonzi is a better ball-handler, Allen is a better teammate.

Two years $4mil? How the heck did he squeeze that out of the Mavericks?

Bad signing. Mavs are killing themselves this offseason. Their main hope now is trading Jason Kidd, look for them to shop before the trading deadline.

i was expected he'd do that. mavs are never gunna get themselves over the top if they keep trying with the same roster. i don't see how a pg that can't shoot the ball helped with their iso offense.

That was such a rediculous thing for the Mavs to get upset over.  He was just exercising his right to not give up his chance to potentially earn more money this year.  Why should he give that up, just to help out the Mavs?

Clearly Cuban realized that it was just business...he just decided to open his big mouth before he actually thought about it.

Recent rumors are that Kidd is very agitated because the Mavs dont seem to be interested in offering him a contract extention. Same problem he had Pre trade in New Jersey. Hopefully he will cause a fuss and Cuban trades him to the Lakers (I dont think the Lakers will take him) or buys him out. If we got him for the minimum, that would be a fun playoff run this year. 8)

I feel bad for Dirk. I gave him a better team with the Fantasy Clippers.  ;D

Ditto. I remember there being a thread with at least 20 posts from ppl bragging and raving about that guy. So glad the Moron Mavs kept him.
Can't stop, Rondo!
