I understand the source isn't great but not only is everything reported confirmed elsewhere but it sites some of his other misdeeds.

Now you can say that Anthony was never convicted of a marijuana charge because his friends came forward and said it was their's or you can look at the fact that there was weed in both Melo's backpack one time and his car another and say it is still his responsibility to ensure that illegal drugs are not in anything that he owns whether that be a car, backpack, house, suitcase, jacket or anything else.

No matter what way you look at it Melo is a bit idiotic for letting himself get into situations where either his decisions or his friends are getting him in trouble. And he's a dink for continuing to allow it to happen.
