Can someone please tell me why Danny isnt making a move for him, i understand there are some haters on this board of the idea but this guy is exactly what we need. A HIGH energy 6th man who can knock down shots, huge chemistry guy, veteran presence and we can get him cheap. I think goin into last season if you were asked who you wanted between bonzi and posey it was 50/50 with some people  then everyone saw how posey a high energy chemistry player reacted to being in the right place, I really think sigining him has alot of upside potentional and if it didnt work out it would be a cheap mistake, let me know what you guyys think.

Danny has not made a move for him yet. That is not to say he is not going to. Bonzi is probably feeling out the market to see what is the best contract he could sign at this point. Ainge is feeling out the market to try to see who are the best players left that will sign for the vet min. Right now it's a waiting game I don't think you will see us sign anyone else until September, much like Posey last year but possibly even later.

What do you mean that Bonzi is a "huge chemistry guy"?  From what I've heard, he hasn't been the best teammate in the world.  In that, I've heard that he's been terrible for team chemistry in the past.

Skills-wise, he makes sense, although we need a big man more.  I'm not sure that he's worth the trouble, though.

Wells is a solid player.

How ever I don't think that Chemistry guy and High Energy player really describe him.

For much of his career he's been labeled a headcase, and he looked pretty unmotivated (out of shape) when he was starting out with the rockets last year.

Bonzi shot horribly in the playoffs last year. JR is bigger than Bonzi for that defensive backup at the 3 spot

The Celtics depend on their interior defense in the paint to win games. The Celtics just need a veteran7 footer and were the only title favorite again in my eyes

Sorry for the threadjack but their are rumors the Cavs are talking to NY about a big man.  Guess what happens if you put this in the trade machine (Szerbiak for Randolph straight up):

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=1017~831&teams=5~18&te=&cash=

Cavs get another scorer up front and (can use Wallace off the bench) the Knicks get a shooter to go behind Crawford and a huge expiring contract (plus the ability to breakup the failed Randolph and Curry experiment).  This plus Mo Williams might make them MO dangerous....

Out of curiosity...  why not start a new thread?  This isn't even *tangentially* related to Bonzi Wells, or any other comment in this thread.

JR might be taller but Bonzi certainly weighs more.

right hes had his problems in the past but so havent all players,  you gotta understand no player is gonna sign here if theyre not gonna buy into the system and have a positive attitude because they know theyll get eaten alive by kg,pierce and ray ray, it just wouldnt happen cause all players know what theyre coming into with the celtics. noone can argue bonzis high energy and competivness on a winning team look at sacramento he relished there. was unbelieavble in the playoffs for them. plays GREAT D, i really think he could help the celtics that is if he wanted to come into an enviroment like this....well see da wont let us down

Bonzi is the greates SF ever a team could have coming of the bench
specially if hes behind  a multi skilled long with defensive mind as PP or Someone like Garcia in CB fantasy draft

Bonzi is a very good bench player but I worry about both him and Tony. Two wings who can't buy a jump shot and need the ball in their hands to help offensively. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't ....

I'd rather a shooter.

We have a shooter in House. We have a slasher in TA. What we need is someone who can score consistently. Bonzi gets his scoring on the low block overpowering other 2's and 3's. This is EXACTLY what we need. A go to play on offense where we have a very good shot at a bucket. Sign Bonzi now and then wait on the "end of season" big later in the year. This makes huge sense! Low risk, high reward.

I like the scoring potential that Bonzi might bring off the bench, but I would rather give the SF minutes to JR Giddens. Giddens can score a few points for us if used properly. I think Bonzi is a negative from a team chemistry standpoint and really dont think he would be good from an attitude standpoint.

As stated before, he has had conditioning issues and chemistry issues in the past that are not easily written off like some other players. I guess anyone can change and maybe he would for a chance at a ring, but he is still redundant and we would need to make a trade. Just too many wings IMO and I dont want to give up Tony Allen, Walker or Giddens. 8)

We do have a shooter in PP and Ray swhitching to backup the other wing

Did House sign already? i am asking honestly I dont know
is he a sure thing for us this upcoming season
hopefully he will

I can live watching a JR rookie growth if that doesnt hurt us
Posey was key in finals
he wasnt unreplaceble
only pp ray and kg were. in final terms
