This guy has no lateral quickness and no footwork at all. Sure, he can stand there and drop it in against undersized players, but that's not enough. Ask Bruno Sundov.

Bruno Sundov never played in the paint. Sundov attempt to take 3 pointers and would miss them. Not sure how they compare and if you have watched Ehaddadi during the olympics he had plenty of rebounds and points against players his size. Watch the Argentina game. I'm not sure how much lateral quickness he needs as a 7'2" center. Footwork will improve with NBA coaching no doubt.

Plenty.  Lateral quickness is what separates "stiffs" from NBA players.  Especially when we are talking about playing for a team like the Celtics, whose defense requires their big men to blitz the perimeter and rotate quickly, if they don't have lateral quickness, their chances of ever making it on the floor are pretty much non-existent.

Interesting prospect but at this point this kid wants to play in the NBA not win a championship in the NBA. Expect him to go to the highest bidder.

I dont think he's in it for the money.  I think he wants to be in the best position to play.  Memphis has had a heads up on this whole ordeal so I wouldn't be surprised if he went to the team that he trusts more and has a bigger opportunity to get some playing minutes.

That would make me wonder how would the South accept him.

Well if some less than forward thinking southern gentleman wants to go up to a 7'2" nearly 300lb. Iranian and comment on his heritage, religion, or political intents, I say good luck to him and I hope he has a good medical plan.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.

Memphis/Tennessee isn't that far south.  He'll be facing the same occasional drunken (or unfortunately sober) racist taunts no matter where he plays.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
