I am obviously known to not like Sam's game, and there is no question that Sam isn't going to be in the running for the NBA GQ edition, but this kid really deserved to have Sam stand up and bitc* slap him senseless. Then he should have taken the kid home by his ear, and done the same to his parents. There is absolutely no need to do something like that to someone. I admire the way Sam brushed it off, but you could tell by his voice that it bothered him. He is obviously a bigger man than I am!

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
This kid is was a real dick.

Sam showed some real self control. I think anyone else would've punched his lights out like the guy obviously wanted.

Not funny.

I'm always timid when clicking on a post where someone states it's hilarious.  Case in point.

Seems that the young man was attempting 'Borat' journalism by attempting to keep a straight face while asking questions designed to get under the skin of the interviewee to cause a foolish response. This type of interview invariably leaves someone (either interviewer or interviewee, or both) looking foolish.

In the Borat movie there were scenes that made me cringe because he was trying to make an ass out of people who were just being kind -- these scenes tended to not make me laugh although his comic ability sometimes made chuckle despite myself.  Of course, when he came upon people who showed themselves to be jerks, his ability to make them look foolish was satisfying both comedically and in the vicaroius joy of watching an ass successfully made a fool of.

When this is done to unsuspecting nice people and without any comic ability, it fails on all counts and just makes the interviewer look foolish.  This clip is case in point.  Clip just made me uncomfortable.

you mean howard stern, stuttering jon and others have been doing that bit for him long before sasha thought of it.

and yea, kid a moron, clearly trying to tick sam off enough so he can sell a cut video of "a athlete out of control!" to tmz.

I think someone posted that video here a month or two ago.

I have to agree that Cassell is impressive in this video with his level of patience.

There was nothing clever about the questions. They were all too obvious, so it just came off as very rude.

which is why they have chocolate and vanilla... different people have different tastes, perhaps I should have entitled it, potentially hilarious Sam Cassell Interview... or Interview Birdbrain Should Skip... that may have been more effective.. but I said early on, I found it funny because of how Cassell reacted, totally making the kid look dumb
