Why not? Kids Like 28(In his prime).Has a good 3 point stroke. He can come in With E.House for some instant offense/energy.Use the other half of the MLE on him.He averaged 10ppg on a good Western conference team.

Very true, they bring the same things to the table. Would have been a great pickup had we not gotten House.

Wish we could afford him but he would be superfluous with Eddie House already signed.

it would be like the hornets take posey, and the celtics take pargo... that would be interesting. but no, we're all set at the pg position.

First, Pargo is a better player than House.  He has a much more well rounded game.  I am somewhat surprised he has not signed with anyone yet.  I think it is probably because he is looking for too much money.  He is probably holding out for something close to the MLE, but he really is only a 2-3 million per year player.  He is the type of player I think Danny is waiting on, because they may come back to a team like the Celtics if the deal they are looking for doesnt materialize by late august (see Posey last year).

I don't see how he fits here. We already have House + TA as to backup the guard spots and  Pruitt/Giddens/Walker to fill out the 3rd string. It was either House or Pargo and we kept House. Pargo and House are at pretty much the same level as players, Pargo has a better handle and House is a better shooter. Neither is a true pg and both look to shoot first. If Pargo wants to come here for cheap then why not, but if we look to sign another player it will probably be a center, sf or true pg.

Pargo is an upgrade over House talent wise.

But not that much of an upgrade.  House has good chemistry with the stars.

If we could get him cheap we could always use a shooter and Pargo is a better defender than House and bigger.

Pargo is a more aggressive defender, but I think House still manages to get enough poke away steals and off the ball steals with his speed. I bet Danny looked at him, but chose House due to chemistry and money. House is worth more money, but wouldn't have made it elsewhere unless it was for a sorry 20 win team like Charlotte or OKC. Pargo should end up in Dallas as TP's back up as that team is in desperate need of youth...I said a few times this summer that the Spurs are due this year for another ring, but this time I don't see it happening with Ginobli hurt, the Argentina coach expecting too much out of the NBA stars on his team, and SA's big 3 getting older every year.
Can't stop, Rondo!
