I think Portland (rightly so) have been working him lightly coming off from his major injury.  I think they pulled the plug on him where with another player, might not have pulled it so quickly.

I would expect to see his minutes jump to 30 minutes a night, and his contribution, not anyone they pick up in a trade, will turn them from another west playoff team to a threat for a west crown.
He fouls too much to play 30 minutes.

So do most rookie Cs.  As he plays more minutes, gains more respect from the officials, the foul rate will drop.  Look at Perk for example.
I think once he improves his defense he'll foul less. He should improve, doesn't mean he will.

Am I the only person who thinks he was pretty good as a rookie? Granted he had a ton of foul trouble, but his per minute stats are staggeringly good.

20% rebound rate? Second in rookies behind KLove (and nobody calls him a dissapointment).

56% True Shooting percentage (he has bad FT% but he doesn't take many)

My only problems is his blocks are lower than expected, and is a little turnover prone. But he's had great numbers in games which he played more than 24 minutes.

Hand check rules have placed a bigger burden on this generations big men. I honestly think though with a year of experience, this guy though not dominant offensively can easily become a 16-12 2.5 block guy.

Nope, a few of us have said we still think he'll be a great player. He just needs to stay healthy.

I think it's more foul than injuries though. If he only played 55 games but averaged 12-12 (close to his per 30 minute stats) I'm sure fans would still be really happy.
