NESN is saying Manny was traded to the Dodgers.  Unsure of who was involved but they are saying Jason Bay of the Pirates is coming to Boston.  Wonder who is going to the Pirates.

sounds good, bay was the best thing we were going to get for him, and it keeps him away from tampa.

I approve of this barring any crazy prospects thrown in from our side (ellsbury, clay, ect)

This trade is absurd. All they get is Bay and they give up 2 prospects?

Not only that but we lose the draft picks we would have gotten for Manny if he left....this makes no sense.

Manny for Jason Bay???  I am not much of a baseball guy, but that seems like 50 cents on the dollar trade to me.  

How is this good for the Sox?

Yeah, EEI & NESN are reporting it. 

They have to be getting more than just Bay if they're giving up Moss, Hansen, and $$.

Has to be more coming back to Boston or they just got hosed.

Makes me want to puke...this is not good. Manny and Torre..now there is a perfect match although he is probably better at dealing with tempermental players. Manny and LA are perfect for each other though. I think we got fleeced..big time...

There was no way we were going to get equal value for trading Manny. Very rarely does this happen when trading a superstar.
