  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
Isn't May still recovering from his knee injury? is he expected to play?

-------------------

Anyone seen/heard from Wdleehi?  A trade of the #1 pick in the 9th is just waiting on his approval -- both GMs have sent it in.  I don't want to make the pick then ask the other GM to make mine b/c that means they have to be online too...

Guess we can do that if it goes too late, but would rather it all just be official.

D'oh... Jumped the gun, Wdleehi posted as i was typing  ;D
TP Wdleehi for doing such a good, thankless job as Commish.

Ubuntu, y'all!!
Yea he's expected to play, he missed all last season after knee surgery. He might not be completely back to what he used to be able to do until halfway through the season. He's young and we can wait on him. If he's completely healthy he goes a lot earlier. I probably will pick one more big with the injury concerns of Kenyon, May and Swift.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I didn't think you needed to trade up to get him. He probably would've been there at the number 8 pick in the 9th round.

Unless you knew something I didn't.

  • The good ole days.
The Timberwolves add some frontcourt size and another young talent that could have this team winning multiple titles within a few years, Javale McGee.

Maybe a questionable pick, but I need someone with the size to play the 5, and he has the versatility and range to play the 4 as well.

Quote
Physically, much has changed for McGee since leaving Reno to come train with Barnes. Listed at 237 pounds, the big man came into training weighing around the 228 pound mark. Since then, McGee has begun working diligently in terms of sculpting his body and improving his core strength. With his added 8 pounds of muscle, he now legitimately weighs 237 pounds and has body fat hovering around the 5.7% area according to Barnes. Still relatively underdeveloped in terms of upper body strength, the son of WNBA great Pam McGee has a very sturdy lower body that bolsters his explosive leaping ability. Throw in a 7’6 wingspan, the ability to run the floor like a deer, and a frame that could easily add another 20 pounds and it’s easy to see why he’s such an interesting prospect.

Nice, my guy lasted.

The Portland Trailblazers add a great locker room guy, and some bench scoring, in Cuttino Mobley.

I was going to take him in the 8th if I had a 4th pick that round, but I couldn't pass up getting K.Thomas, Turiaf, and Pargo for positions I did need.  Even though i felt Mobley was the best scorer left.

Thanks, guys.  Every GM I contacted for advice about Mobley seemed to have the "if you don't take him, I will" response, so I figured I was getting pretty good value here.  I think he's the type of veteran who can help my young team.

I was torn between him and Des Mason, and then I realized that I had too many 2s.

Well shucks, why didn't you ask for my opinion?  Just kidding... I wouldn't have taken him.  SG is the position I am by far most comfortable with in terms of reserves.

Just because he is a decently crappy player that McHale overpaid by quite a bit does not mean he can be disrespected here... that name is Marko.  Or Mr. Adriana Lima. Whichever you prefer.
