Timberwolves select possibly the shocker of the round... a 21 year old extremely athletic power forward about to burst on the scene, Amir Johnson.

Yep, good value.  He was tempting, but I need "win now" players.  Nice pick.

Thunder select John Salmons

Let me be the first to predict that after taking Tony Allen in the 7th round, the Thunder take MASHED POTATOES in the 8th, completing the trifecta.   :D

I think he'll become a win now type player this year.  Flip Saunders was reluctant to play him, but I think he'll start getting more minutes now.  All the stat heads love him, because in the limited minutes he's played, he's been a monster.  Let's hope it wasn't too big of a gamble.

The Cavs select Nick Collison.

that was my guy! ...NOO

I was surprised he lasted so much longer than David Lee.  The two are pretty similar.

Good point.  As a fellow U of Florida alum, i"ve been surprised by David Lee's play in the NBA (I thought he'd be as good, maybe a tad better than Matt Bonner).

That said, i think Lee has become a bit overrated.  He's a good PF, but will never be more than a borderline starter IMO.

I will move my upcoming #5 for a later #5 / early #6 plus draft picks.  PM me offers.

Inversely, I'm willing to give value for a pick late in this round.
