Perk is a beast. The only worry I have is if we meet the Lakers in the Finals next year and Perkins gets outmuscled by Andrew Bynum. Andrew Bynum is like 7'1 and 300 pounds. Perk seems like he's 6'9.
Andrew Bynum avg 13 point and 10 rebounds on 29 minutes.

However for some reason against the Celtics Bynum was awful. Does any1 know why. Did Perk stop him or something I missed those 2 games!

I never doubted Perk. Right after the Big 3 trade, everyone was talking about the C position and how Perk couldn't hold it down. After last season, 2 things were proven. 1, KG makes everyone around him better. 2, Perk can do it.
Can't stop, Rondo!

Bynum didn't exactly have Wilt/Kareem/Shaq numbers. They were more like Elden Campbell numbers. Bynum is a good young talent, but people talk about him like the second coming. Maybe in the future he'll be a star, but not this past season. If you look at Bynum's stats from last year, all the big games he had were against scrub teams or teams with no Center. Against the top teams, especially the Celtics, he was the invisible man. Thats why I love Perk, he knew Bynum had all the hype, but Perk took it to him.

Perk dominated Bynum physically, plain and simple, especially in Boston, where he went 8-10 for 21 points, to 2-7 for 4 for Bynum.

one word sums up Bynum: SOFT

he has way more talent than Perkins but the guy is soft. He doesn't have that mean streak in him. This isn't because he's on the Lakers either. I think he's a good center but he's very overrated. Just think that the Lakers could've had KG had they given up Bynum, Odom and something else.

Given some of the sentiments expressed in this thread about Bynum, here's my question: If the Lakers call tomorrow and offer Bynum straight-up for Perk (salaries aside for the moment), does Danny do it?

Hard to imagine that's anything other than "Yes!" in a heartbeat.

The goal here isn't to hate on Perk -- and I'll admit that he did exceed my expectations down the stretch this year -- but I think some of the rhetoric here is a bit strong no matter what happened in two regular season games this year.

Perkins is actually heavier and more muscular.
