I am a huge memorabilia collector so I know a good amount on certain things. to my knowledge Every ring they make they make 2. so this year they will make 2 garnett's 2 pierce's 2 Allen's. just incase something goes wrong. I have seen on ebay and auction houses that I am member's of, Larry Bird Championship rings. this are real rings. they are just not Larry Bird's personal rings.

as to a havlicek 81 ring, I just don't know about that. I have not seen the auction yet.

Maybe Mr. Havlicek was part of that '81 team, not as a player, but in a different capacity like a consultant or something... I'm not sure, but do Celtics bench officials gets a ring too?...

To answer the prior question, most bench officials and office members will receive a championship ring.  The fact that Havlicek's status as a member of the Celtics is in question and the fact that the pictures of the ring are really low res and kinda crappy lead me to believe that this is a hoax.

I would have believed it if it was for ML Carr, Rick Robey, or from Wayne Kreklow though...   :P

I've offered more in the way of aunthenticating a $5 CD on eBay than this dude is offering for a $25,000 ring.

Maybe he'll get some bids like Manny Ramirez's barbecue.
Yup

Out of curiosity for those in the know...if it really were a hondo (or bird etc ) championship ring, what would it actually go for?
