i forget where i read this but regarding JGidd, I heard the Celts were playing hard ball. Even though the rookies' salaries are slotted, I guess teams can pay between 80% - 120%. What I read was that the Celts were offering nearing to the lower end.
As for Bill Walker, I'm assuming they needed to sign some free-agents to see how much is left over? Can they pay him out of the MLE?
