The Rocky Mountain News is reporting:

Quote from: Rocky Mountain News
Chris Anderson, a fan favorite in Denver from 2001 to 2004, has agreed to sign a one-year contract with the Nuggets and the deal could be done within the next couple days, according to sources familiar with the negotiations.

Worth mentioning since he spent two days in Boston, and so many have mentioned him as Option 1 to replace P.J. Brown. I wonder if money will prove to have been the motivating factor or playing time? (Since it's likely Anderson will be able to compete for the starting spot in Denver.)

Denver wants to take the chance.

I wonder if Boston passed because of the two big issues in the past 20 years with drugs and addiction.

This likely takes them out of the running for Elson. I thought Denver were a frontrunner for him so that's good news.

Good signing for the Nuggets.

Yeah they had to take the chance.  With Marcus Camby gone, I wouldn't be surprised if he starts for them right away.

RealGM says it's for league minimum (for Andersen, just under $1 mil).

well the celtics can't take too many chances and have a roster of punks.

Become Legendary.

Cool. Good pickup for Denver. Good style match.

I'm actually glad the C's have POB instead. He has more potential, and has a nice legitimate 7 foot mobile frame. I'm really curious to see what Clifford, Perks and KG turn this kid into.

Watched him play last year....too small and skinny for his "position",he gets pushed around a lot...Celtics were a very Physical team last year--ask the Lakers....we don't need players like him.

I like your thinking on Elson.  I think he would be a nice pickup for the Cs.
Celtics fan for life.

elson's really not the enforcer type of player we need. to me he seems soft and fragile.

Become Legendary.

Yet another player that could have filled a good roster spot for us...but obviously there was something that DA seen or didn't see in him for him to sign him.
Can't stop, Rondo!

They might have lost defense, rebounding, and a veteren presence in Camby vs Birdman.  But with Birdman they aren't losing any tatoo's.

For those who were hoping Ainge would sign this guy, Denver just grabbed him.

I think he will be solid off the bench for Denver.  Some of these west teams have made some pretty good pick-ups lately.  Like M. Barnes in Phoenix and M. Williams in Golden St.

Sorry about that.  Not only did I miss this post, I also posted in the wrong forum.  No wonder I'm Sam Cassell.

  • Let them hate, as long as they fear
If we want an enforcer enforcer, why not take a look at Rick Mahorn. Why not? We have considered Toine. Im sure Mahorn will give us more value for the money. He is still active doing what he does best.
