I know the commish said to hold off all trades until the rules are posted but we can still discuss them via PM's, right?

Discuss to your heart's content.

As the Assistant Regional Manager of The Soon to Be Relocated to a More Proper Location Lakers I'd like to say that we're all thrilled with the outcome of the draft lottery. This is great news for our organization and a great for our fans. We are fully aware that it's our job to make the most of it and we are going to take a long look at the options that make the most sense for our club. Having the 1st pick puts us in a unique position to make our team better and this Front Office hard work, knowledge, wisdom and experience will assure that our organization fully accomplishes that goal in the near future.

Robb, our General Manager, will give you further and more detailed information in due time.

  • The good ole days.
I still don't fully understand how this works.

We are drafting players based on value of their contract... correct?  No stats/records/etc will be kept, this is merely to draft a team, and make trades with the idea of assembling the best combination of on-paper talent and contract value?  Is that correct?

Thanks.

Yeah, there have been discussions about stripping wdleehi of his ViceRoy privileges after allowing such a travesty of justice.  The Lakers picking #1, on Celticsblog?  Blasphemy.

Not quite.  Contract value is irrelevant.  Just draft players, to create the best fictional team.

See, now  that would be a violation.  It could cost you a league fine.   ;)
