After the signing of Eddie House, do we still need a back up pg? Looks like the C's are trying to sign Williams for the vet min. What do you guys think?

If House isn’t willing to settle for a one-year deal which Boston reportedly wants to give him, the Celtics may try to sign Miami’s Jason Williams to a one-year deal for the veteran minimum contract.

Not going to happen if House is resigned.

I would have preferred J-Will at the vet minimum over House at his reported contract.

I wanted Williams too, but i think he's not the flashy player he used to be anymore. Plus, his defense is worse than House's...

I'm cool with:

Rondo - House - Pruitt - TA

at the 1.

There is a reason you get players at the vet minimum.  And you sure aren't getting a game changer like House for it.

I've been trying to convince myself williams would've been a decent pickup. With that said, it hasn't work. :)

We're done with the guard positions, no one else is needed for the start of the season. If during the season a need is apparent, then find some sort of deal or cut someone to sign another.

The last roster spot should be used on a SF or a Center.

We don't need another PG !!! We have Rondo, House, Pruitt the smae trio we had at the begining of last year, and they did more than fine. Cassell came on late in the year and didn't do a hell of a lot folks. Lets go get ourselves a veteran SF. Bonzi Wells, Eddie Jones, even Ricky Davis at this point, yeah I know him and Doc weren't best buds but if he buys into defense with his athletic ability could be a nice pick up.

amen brother. once we sign the rooks were done at the guard spot. we won 66 games last yr with rondo house and the corpse of sam cassell. weve just upgraded in almost every way with pruitt over sam. hes athletic, he can shoot and i think hes got the explosion to get to the rim and finish.

i really don't know what he still has in the tank. i mean with cassell, he was at least still scoring well in la before they let him go.
