George is a career .390 shooter, and that includes .410 from 2-point range.  Ouch.

I can think of at least 10 available guys better than Devean George.  Even the 19 year-old Bill Walker is probably better than Devean George.

Walter Hermann is better than Devean George. Darius Miles on one leg is better than Devean George.

FACT: guys are always gonna be unproven until they are given the chance to prove themselves. if we dont trust our younger players how will they ever become trustWORTHY? i mean were paying them to play basketball for us arent we? or are we? i keep seeing people say we should bring in an experienced pg because pruitt is unproven. well we didnt give him a chance to play last year. what are we gonna do wait until his deal is up and never see if he can handle it?

do we wait a few years to see if our 1st rnd draft pick can handle 15 min off the bench? i mean we now have the best environment to bring up kids in and develop them. so then why dont we do it and give them a chance to show it. if they prove they cant then we deal with it but i dont understand why were all the sudden scared of playing kids when we just started 2 very young players last year.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

Thank you Brick, I couldnt agree more. We need someone who can play the 3 and little 4 and hit an open jumper once in a while. We have enough so called defensive specialists and guys who cant score consistently. We need offense off the bench and effort guys. If we need another wing, (we dont) then sign Kirk Snyder.

Herrman and Miles are the two to look at IMO, in that order. 8)

George's offense isn't why you'd sign him. He is a solid defender at the 3. My worry is that the C's will have to go through Lebron in the 2008 playoffs again. After Pierce, the player with the best body to match him is Bill Walker. Lebron and the officials will eat him alive.

George isn't THE answer. But he is the best available defender at the 3.

I am totally content going into the season without a SF defender, assuming by the time the playoffs start, we'll find someone.
