That's the best Ricky Davis idea I've seen on this board.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

As incredibly slight of a chance as his return to Boston is, I still find this to be a huge relief.

In Greece, can a player get a rebound by purposely throwing the ball off his own backboard?

  • You know my methods, Watson.
the guy has untapped potential, but sadly, there's something missing and ricky will probably never find it.  he's still a young guy, but he's too 'me-centered' - what a waste... :)

In Greece you can get technical just by blocking a player from olympiacos(or panathinaikos)
Imagine what will happen if you punch one. Your carrier is over!  ;D

You`ll hear plenty of rumors linking NBA players to olympiacos. They`ve got plenty of money but in the last 10 years or so haven`t won anything and in the same time their rival has won 9 championships and 4 times the Euroloeague.

The only players that really end up there besides Europeans that are too scared to play NBA style game, is either players that don't have enough talent to make big bucks here, or older players that are washed up but still want to make big bucks. Whatever happened to Marbury wanting to go to Europe and finish his career?
Can't stop, Rondo!

With the weaker dollar, he could view it as the best financial move for him :)

Seriously, I'd be surprised if someone doesn't take a flyer.

As a matter of fact, it might now be financially more beneficial for some top European players to stay with strong Euro clubs in the big leagues, instead to move to the NBA and play for the MLE. Euro clubs do not exactly work under the CBA, you know.

So I strongly advise you get off your high horse in respect to who is "too scared to play in the NBA".
