DA just needs to give Darius Miles a contract. I wont repeat myself in the details of why, b/c its obvious if you've read the threads. Along with him we need a proven SG/SF. Somebody like Matt Barnes or Mo Evans. Players that can hit 3s but also play D, and aren't afraid to throw it down on a player if given the chance.
I find it hard seeing Cassell coming back, PJ too. They got what they wanted(as posey did) and now they're likely to run with it. Cassell, unlike KG unfortunately, has expressed full interest in coaching one day. And his interest in learning under George Karl. So, Sam might end up as a back up, back up PG in Denver, or even straight into coaching. Either that or he might go all out for a new scene to impact like Phoenix. As for PJ, he's old. He can play, but he doesn't have too many more games left till he gets hurt for good. Forget about Pollard, he's done. Damaged goods. DMiles could be our prospect of possibility for cheap. Tony Allen might come back as the old Tony of dunking on everyone. House is the odd case here. He wants money, which he deserves, but i'm not sure DA will pay him what he wants.
Can't stop, Rondo!

i think i'd be okay if we let the rookies get some playing time, or else that'll never pan out the way we want them to. with that said, the bench is a little weak on vet. experience. add at least 1 player who shoots 3's and plays decent defense (dwest?), and add one player who is a big man with playoffs experience (thomas?), and i think we're fine.

Become Legendary.

With three spots left possibly, I think we sign 2 players and look at a few more. I dont know that Danny lets Walker go overseas, that could be dangerous. He may be planning to use Giddens as trade bait, but I think it will be late in the game, maybe December. I dont see much chance of re-signing Tony Allen, his lack of PT in the playoffs may have been an indicator of his future and value IMO. Obviously we trade Scal as soon as possible or as part of a package, but I dont see a lot of takers.

I think we should look at Nenad Krstic as a possibility at back up center. Provided of course he passes a physical. He can be had for a piece (half) of the midlevel and the risk is minimal vs the potential long term gain. Otherwise Scal/Powe/Davis are the 2nd PF/3rd C in 2009 most likely.

The full midlevel to Josh Chidress is an idea I still like. There was an idea on RealGM by Elrod Enchilada about front loading contracts to make them more appealing that might work. I dont know the numbers exactly but if he got say 8,7,7,6,5 over 5 years making the 5 and 6 million years at his option, assuming this is in the ballpark and legal, then why not? he gets his money up front and he can go after the big money in 3 when he may deserve it.

If we want wings, go with Michael Finley and JR Giddens. If Giddens has any talent, he can learn on the fly. It's not like he will be playing major minutes right off anyway. I am not sure how soon Walker will be ready (healthy) but if hard work is any indication, he might be a contributor by the All Star break. Signing Walker and Giddens does not gaurantee them PT but does tie up roster spots regardless of where they go. There are plenty of veteran wings out there for cheap, but Finley has lots of Creds and experience to put in the two rookies ears. Both of these rookies have decent defensive reputations.

I still think we need to resign Eddie House. He made 1.5 Million last year, give him a small raise and a second year at his option. 4.5 million total. It wont kill us and we have that hole filled. 8)

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
Here is how a see the roster filling out. Once you get past our starters I think we should have a veteran and a young player with a high ceiling at every position.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19
