For the most part, we all loved Posey, we're sorry to be seeing him move on and seeing that he's not going to the Lakers we all should wish him well.
With that said, I am sure the Celtics are looking at plan B or C depending on how you look at it.
My question is this; The "dirt dog" approach Posey had on the court, especially on defense made him the valuable player that he was. Tony Allen was known for having the same defensive tenacity prior to going down to injury. I have no idea about the road to recovery for TA, has he reached the point that he's the best he can be or is he still recovering and therefore has window of opportunity to improve his quickness and effectiveness?
If the answer is, that TA can physically be the player he was his second year then perhaps he's the answer to step into part of that role. I think all the younger players benefited greatly by being exposed to Posey, Allen, KG and to a lesser degree PJ and the approach they took to the game.
Thanks
