what a player to lose. You kind of want to hate him cuz he was that nice of a player for us,to miss the guy less. But its hard to hate a guy like him who played his heart out, diving for balls etc. I'am glad he got some security also, i know he will play hard till the end

my top three posey moments were

3. When he shot multiple threes i think in game 5(comeback game?) against the lakers when the big three weren't playing so good and kept us alive in the offensive side. (totally killed the lakers psyche from there)

2. The game 6 last second steal against prince. That was huge! He also played amazing defense throughout the series

1. When he locked down lebron james hard. James wasnt himself 5 out of 7 games because posey was on him like a hawk. His footspeed and knowing how to anticipate james's every move made it a living hell for one of the best players in the league

I just read hollingers article of the posey signing and he is wrong that he won't be a huge factor for the hornets plus he is just an above average defender. What a joke, the guy is definitely in the elite level in defense

I forget the exact game or situation, but the one where he hustled for that loose ball down the court and slid about 25 feet on his back I think after saving the ball, then he rolled up onto his feet in one move.  That was sweet.

Actually James did better when Posey was on him, but sure if you say so...  ;)

Probably the 3's to come back vs. the Lakers.

We needed every three and he made every three.

Not really a moment, because he did it several times in the playoffs, but his knack for throwing himself into another player during a loose ball and getting the call.

It's funny that the guy is known for his defense, but all the memorable moments I have of Posey involve some timely three pointers last year.  And I was a bit disappointed at his complete inability to guard LeBron James or Kobe.  I'll miss Posey.  He did his job last year.   I hope he enjoys his payday.  He came here to earn a contract and he got it.  Good for you Posey.  All that frustration last offseason paid off.   Boston says "you're welcome".  Thanks for the threes.

My fav 3 PO-Z moments were (in no particular order):

3) The steal vs. Tayshaun Prince in game 6

2) The killer 3's he hit in the comeback game

1) November '07. Opening night vs. the Wizards when he hugged every single guy on the bench then went for the hug/huddle/words of encouragement with KG - this obviously became a ritual but the first time he did it...it sent chills down my spine. I thought..."this guy came here for a championship".

Jimmy will be missed, but it's very important IMO that we greet him with open arms when NO rolls into town. He deserves nothing less than a standing ovation for several minutes.
"Perk is not an alley-oop guy" - Tommy Heinson - Feb 27th 2008 vs. Cleveland

The ball save, and preceeding slide that was mentioned before. Slid all the way to the C's bench, KG gave him a "good job" slap and threw him back into action.

When he made it rain versus the Clippers in LA, making threes from ridiculous range.

That game he ended against Dallas at home I believe where he dived for the ball and just sat at midcourt with it waiting to be fouled as time ran out.

The steal versus Tayshaun after a bad possession, saved our skin.

The three he hit versus LA to bring a 2 point lead to 5, I believe. This shot was the reason the comeback happened, if not the Lakers still had a great chance, this drained their spirits.

Yeah, but we will be fine  ::) I know Ainge probably did the right thing now offering him 4 but face it, we are not going to get anybody nearly as good for him. Artest would take about 3-4 guys to acquire. We'd have like 7 players on our roster.

The whole season. As Ainge said "there is no championship without JAMES POSEY"...big mistake letting him go...he's a winner with Miami and Boston, next N.O.

Definitely the dagger threes in LA.  I could watch those all day long.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Game 4, fast break, Posey on the left side, rushed off balanced 3, me saying what the hell!? another bad shot! IT'S GOOD FOR 3.

Become Legendary.
