Wow bad call there.  Now JD's walk off hit will have to be a home run I guess.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Nice job, J.D.

That easily could have been the game-winner.  Oh, well, missed calls happen.

No doubt this game should be over right now.

I'm gonna guess that the moans and groans of people at the ballpark aren't making those sounds because the A.L. didn't score, but because they have to sit through more of this game haha

"If I was managing the team, I would close," Papelbon said. "I'm not managing the team, so it don't matter."

He didnt say 'want'  he said 'Would'

Papelbon has to get over himself---

oh well... its over with.

There's an amazing game on right now, and people are arguing about something that Papelbon said, and immediately retracted, despite it being completely irrelevant right now?

Besides the 2 questionable tags. There were 2 hits called foul by the home plate umpire. McCarver calls them definitely foul but they both looked fair to me or at least very close. Home plate is fair territory on the first one and the second one was too close to the line to see without a closeup.

Well, in a couple more innings, they're not going to have any options, other than an American League forfeit.  That would be a worse outcome than a tie.

If you're a Red Sox fan, you should be rooting for the National League.  We all know they're going to sweep when they get to the WS, and I want to see this team win a title in Boston already!
We're the ones we've been waiting for.
