Is anyone impressed with Donte Greene's summer league debut? He scored 40pts, had 3 boards, 3 assists, and 0 turnovers. I know it is just summer league, But I think this is an impressive game for a player that GM's said wouldn't be able to contribute. It is obviously early, but this kid looks like he could a potential steal at pick 28.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Im more impressed with Tractor Traylor's debut (he didn't have a heart attack).

Im pleasantly surprised with Greene though. He's an extremely skilled play, no if ands or buts.

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
With about five picks left their were a bunch of guys I thought we should pick (the list now escapes me but I could remember if I looked at the draft list). Anyway one of them was Donte Greene, I watched a lot of Cuze basketball this year because my roommate was a big fan. He is tall athletic and can shoot the lights out I think he will be very good.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I take any performance in the summer league with a little grain of salt.  Nate Robinson was MVP of the summer league before,  Marcus Banks once scored 40 points in the summer league, Marco Bellani (sp?) was all world summer league last year, and I think even Kwame Brown had a stellar summer league performance back in the day.

I think I'm the resident Syracuse fan here, and I was VERY impressed to see him play that well against any kind of NBA-type talent.  He's obviously got tremendous ability, but I wasn't impressed with how he used it last year and thought the team would be better for him leaving.  I hope he succeeds, though, and this is a great start.

But, as everybody's saying, summer league performances mean slightly more than jack.  This is more promising than a horrendous start would have been, but it doesn't mean much else.
