that's about as likely as kobe saying that he wants to come off the bench for the suns so he can get another ring.

No way. That would be stupid, and Ray is a good guy and wouldn't just abandon the big 3 and leave for some team to be the best player. Besides, it would put huge milage onto his ankles anyway. I'm sure he wants another title, to secure more of his legacy.

I find it unlikely but not impossible.

So we low ball a borderline all-star and suddenly Ray wants a trade?

Doesn't make sense at all to even speculate this.

I'm not the one speculating Ray Allen getting traded... I'm trying to figure out why that would even be a possibility.

what does that have to do with the price of tea in china? this is quite possabley the biggest logic leap i have ever seen.

maggs is a forward more than a SG for one, and if he's signed, it would end james posey's time here, and he would be our new sixth man.

whaatttt?

your the OP of this topic, which is the topic that speculated him requesting a trade.

if your referring to the other trade ray allen thread, thats speculation on weather danny will trade him next season when his contract is a valuable chip, not some crazy trade request behind closed doors by allen.

  • Basketball is like chess, only without the dice
 ;D

I'm pretty sure almost every team in the NBA will offer Maggette the MLE. Can we deduct that Kobe has requested a trade, Paul has requested a trade, Duncan has requested a trade, LeBron has requested a trade, Howard has requested a trade, etc etc?

Disregard this thread (lock it?)

Davis is a Clipper!!!!!

I just posted this:

"The only way the Clippers can make the signing of Davis work is to renounce Magette and give up their Bird rights to him.

That means they can't do a sign and trade, and Magette is stuck with the MLE, unless he accepts an offer for more from the only teams with cap space, being Philly, Charlotte and Memphis.

Corey might have outsmarted himself

and

Danny Ainge is way ahead of the curve!"

Maggette to Philly would actually be pretty sweet for all involved. Philly has a good, underrated team, and Maggette will help them a bundle with scoring.  He won't get screwed over by a weak market, but he won't kill their cap either.
