I hope he gets away from the Clippers, despite him saying that he wants to stay.  That organization is going nowhere, and I like Brand too much to see his waste away his career out there.

Even though it would make things harder on the Celtics, I hope he ends up with the Sixers or with the Heat in a sign-and-trade.

I just saw the same article and I have a hard time believing he wants to stay a Clipper especially after reading this part:

Quote
Falk said a visit to Boston for Game 2 of the NBA Finals influenced Brand's decision to opt out.

"He watched what happened when a few stars get together and agree to have a communal effort," Falk said. "He said 'That's what I'd like to accomplish in my career.'"

Of course it helps to trade for a couple of All-Stars, as the Celtics did when they acquired Ray Allen and then Kevin Garnett. The Clippers have a solid young frontcourt in Brand, center Chris Kaman and Al Thornton, who is coming off a promising rookie season. Guard Cuttino Mobley has two seasons remaining on his contract, and the Clippers selected Indiana guard Eric Gordon with No. 7 pick in the draft last week.

Could Falk really be saying that brand would be willing to take a MLE for a period of time to join an All-Star ladened team for a shot at a ring.

And I don't necessarily mean Boston. I was thinking Miami, Orlando, or other attractive port of call.

True.  I like Brand, but I don't want him on a legit contender, at least not for a couple of years.  Cleveland is one of the few teams in the East that can challenge us, and I don't want to see them get better.

Sign and trade.

What if Atlanta send Smith for Brand?

The scariest; Wally, Jones and Smith (plus some draft picks) for Brand and Maggette.

Brand going to Cleveland would give Jay-Z and Kiki Vandeweghe a heart attack.

Throw in Snow for Mobley, and Clippers are in money saving mode.

Could you imagine Brand in Celtics' Green?

You can start with KG at the 5, or just bring Brand off the bench. Man that would kill everyone. Sign-and-trade for it Danny make it happen somehow (I think it could be done somehow by the way veeeeeery far fetched though).

And don't you dare tell me to wake-up, I'm enjoying my dream.

Brand after Ray Allen, had/has been my favorite non-Celtic for quite some time.

The Lakers should offer Gasol for him.  It is a deal the Clippers won't likely get an improvement on and it provides them the badly needed physical nature they need.

Leaves a big hole at SG.

I can't see the Clippers making that trade with Cleveland. That said I hope he stays in the West. I have a feeling he'll try to go to Miami. Brand, Wade, Marion with Beasley is a scary core.

Err, how so? Was never thinking of trading a SG.
