Good find. TP.
And another reason to celebrate.
Love is good but hate can be good, too.
Because we know people are scratching
their heads and pulling at their hair,
saying: "I hate Boston for being the best".

1957. 1959. 1960. 1961. 1962.
1963. 1964. 1965. 1966. 1968.
1969. 1974. 1976. 1981. 1984.
1986. 2008. 17, baby. 17.

"Respect the Shamrock". You better believe it.

Absolutly priceless!!!

A great story and it really reflects on how the country feels about Boston winning.  I am in Denver right now and I have had three people tell in the past 24 hours that they are happy the Celts won but tired of Boston winning.

Modification:  The writer whines a bit too much about the supposed filming of the Rams practice and writes as if it happened though it did not.

Props to that guy for being honest. Compare that with frauds around the country who write veiled, or sometimes blatantly insulting material when the enemy wins (re: that person who wrote about KG hitting on Tafoya..?).

  • Let them hate, as long as they fear
Let them hate, as long as they fear.
And someday in the midst of time,
When they ask you if you knew me
Remember that you were a friend of mine

Wow, Where do I start?

1. Well I feel I should inform you of another paper in Boston besides the Globe. Its called the Boston Herald, give it a read sometime and maybe you won't looked as uninformed and stupid:

www.bostonherald.com/sports/football/patriots/view.bg?articleid=1093898&srvc=home&position=0

Cheap shot weasel!

2. I shouldn't blame you for being a poor little sheep:

http://www.bostonsportsmedia.com/2008/05/why-spygate-is-the-most-disgraceful-episode-in-recent-sports-media-history

3. I took the time and did some research for you:

First:

The NFL monitored the Pats taping procedures and process from when they were caught with a camera on the sideline (prohibited). Thus how could they "cheat"?

Second:

The League and Commish has never said the Pats cheated.. Does the Media and fans have more authority or say then the Leauge and Commish?

Third:

Read and learn.

The Rule:

Page 105 of the 2007 NFL Game Operations Manual states, "No video recording devices of any kind are permitted to be in use in the coaches' booth, on the field, or in the locker room during the game...All video shooting locations must be enclosed on all sides with a roof overhead."

Link to the transcript:

Out-takes from Goodell:

 Impact on games?

Again, according to NFL policy, it is permissible to scout people's coaching signals, and as you know, clubs go to great lengths to protect those. They change them frequently and they change them during the game. So I think that teams are sophisticated enough to know that that's a possibility and they go to great lengths to address them. But it's impossible to know the specifics about how much impact it has. I believe that, to me, that there is a permissible way to do this; that they prepare for that.

Handing out the penalty, I don't think it was made clear perhaps that this had extended back any further than a couple of years.
Well, Gary, the only point I would say to that one, and obviously there could have been more information, but it was clear that it was not just an isolated incident with the Patriots because we had other tapes from the Patriots.

4. You forgot to mention that Boston is the only city to defeat another city in all four major sports. Guess What city!? Loser!

It was fun until the diminishing cheap shot he took at the Patriots first super bowl win.
